IMPLANTS

Dental Implants

The best way to replace a missing tooth today is with a Dental Implant. That treatment has the highest success rate in dentistry today. Dental Implants also help in the retention and support of Dentures. They have been created to improved people quality of life.

In Dental Arts of Cherry Hills, we can help you to improve your smile and your quality of chewing with Dental Implants. Our patients report no pain during or after the procedure and the discomfort are so minimum that do not interfere in your normal life routine.

All-on-4

Today’s state-of-the-art implant systems enable a minimum number of implants to support a maximum number of teeth. This means that with as few as four implants, you will be able to support a full arch of fixed, non-removable replacement teeth. This incredible life-changing event can be completed in a single day!

All-on-4 implants offer a number of distinct advantages over traditional counterparts. Other dental implants will require anywhere between 6 to 10 implants per jaw, which can be unpleasant for a patient who will need to have 6 to 10 separate incisions made into their gums, followed by the same number of holes drilled into their lower jaw.

How Does It Work?

Of the four implants used, 2 are fixed vertically to the front of the jaw where the bone is thickest. Like other implants, a hole will be drilled into the bone into which the implants will be placed. These will then be left over a recovery period to fuse to the bone, forming a solid, stable, and long-lasting implant. The final 2 are affixed further back in the jaw, and angled so as to avoid important nerves and arteries. Together these 4 fixings can provide an effective base for the attachment of prosthetic teeth without the hassle, inconvenience, and discomfort of many more implants.

All-on-4 allows for the easy and stable attachment of full arches of teeth, this particular type of implant means that any prosthetic teeth fitted will bit the natural shape of your jaw, feeling much more natural and comfortable.

Zirconia Dental Implant

Crowns made of zirconia are becoming increasingly common, and they do offer some advantages.

Strength

One of the biggest advantages of zirconia is its strength and durability. Consider how much force your back teeth exert on the food that you chew.

Your crowns need to be made of a strong material, so zirconia may be a good choice for crowns in the back of your mouth. Also, because zirconia is so strong, a dentist won’t have to do as much preparation of your tooth.

Longevity

Zirconia-based crowns fared just as well over the course of 5 years as metal-based crowns, according to a 2017 randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Dentistry. And crowns made of zirconia, called monolithic zirconia crowns, are especially durable.

Biocompatibility

Zirconia is the choice of many dentists for its biocompatibility, which means it’s less likely to provoke the body into producing a reaction or immunological response like inflammation.

2016 in vitro studyTrusted Source

confirms this, and it also found only a limited amount of cytotoxicity.

Same-day procedure

Many dentists can make zirconia crowns in their offices rather than sending an impression of your tooth to a lab to have a crown made. Then, they can cement the crown into your mouth in a single visit.

The CEREC, or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, process uses computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology to speed up this process. The dentist uses a dental milling machine to actually make the crown from a block of zirconia.

This process eliminates the need to stretch the procedure into two visits. However, not every dentist office has this technology in-house or offers zirconia crowns.

TESTIMONIALS

I highly recommend Dr. Konstantinos Harogiannis for all dental applications. He is an extremely competent and caring doctor performing prosthodontic, implant, cosmetic and reconstructive work. After surgery, he provided me with a well fitting temporary partial with 4 manufactured teeth, prior to a permanent partial. Kudos to Dr. Harogiannis, and many thanks.

Dr. Kostas and the staff at Dental Arts of Cherry Hills are by far the most professional and caring group of prosthodontist ‘s around. I spent over 2 years researching the best place to replace a couple of missing and broken teeth. I ended up doing a complete set of new teeth with a combination of veneers and implants. Dr. Kostas made my smile look like a million bucks. Dental Arts of Cherry Hills was an exceptional value and they used the highest quality veneers and implants. I am extremely happy with the way my teeth look now. I get complemented often how beautiful my teeth look. Nobody knows they are cosmetically done unless I tell them. If your considering an implant or veneers you will be in good hands with Dr. Kostas and his staff. Just a side note Dr. Kostas and Gina ( his most awesome assistant ) came in on their off day to finish my teeth. They go out of their way to accommodate everyone. 5 stars is not enough to describe this Dr. I promise you will be happy by choosing Dr. Kostas. Don’t hesitate any longer… A great smile will do wonders for your self image…. I love my new teeth and have not stopped smiling since.

Life with All-on-4

The all-on-4 offers a range of the benefits, which you can expect from dental implants. You won’t need to remove a denture before you go to bed or after meals as the fixture allows you to maintain and care for your dentures as if they were your real teeth. This is much more convenient and also provides peace of mind as you don’t need to worry about constantly taking your dentures off.

The all-on-4 implant means that you can eat foods you want without a loss of taste, Dentures fitted to the all-on-4 allow for much greater bite strength, meaning that you can eat a broader range of foods. All-on-4 and its dentures give you access to a much more varied diet, meaning better health and the chance to eat foods you enjoy that you may not have been able to previously.

Improvements make it possible for individuals who could not have experienced the convenience of All-on-4 because of poor bone health or expense, to get treatment. Fortunately, as a result of continued development and innovative treatment, predictable success is now a reality in many challenging dental situations. For that to happen, though, you need a well-coordinated team of highly trained dental professionals like the ones at Dental Arts of Cherry Hills.
